1. In a 2 quart saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the onions and cook until tender.
3. Add the milk and cream cheese and stir until the cream cheese is melted.
4. Stir in the frozen broccoli and the cheese cubes and stir until all is melted and the soup is hot.

Frozen chopped broccoli is excellent for soups as the stems and florets have been cut into similar size pieces and the ability to keep a bag in the freezer until needed is a nice convenience. Thaw frozen broccoli overnight in the refrigerator,
if possible.
