1. Add the bacon, leeks and garlic to a large pan with oil and cook for 5 minutes, or until the leeks are soft.
2. Add the carrot, celery and potato and cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
3. Add the remaining ingredients except for the pasta and bring to a boil.
4. Add the pasta and boil for 13 minutes, uncovered or until the pasta is tender.
5. Serve in soup bowls garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
