Barbecued Bean Soup

 
 
Ingredients -
 
1 pound Great Northern Beans, soaked overnight, drained and rinsed
3/4 cup chopped Onion
1/8 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1 1/2 to 2 pounds Beef Short Ribs
6 cups Water
2 teaspoons Salt, or to taste
3/4 to 1 cup Barbecue Sauce
 
Preparation:
1. Combine great northern beans, onion, ground black pepper, beef short ribs, and water in a crockpot.

2. Cook on low setting 10-12 hours.

3. Remove the beef ribs.

4. Trim meat from bones.

5. Return meat to crockpot.

6. Add salt and barbecue sauce.

7. Cook on high setting for 30 minutes.
