Slow Cooker Chili

Ingredients -

1-1/2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 can Onion Soup
1 tablespoon Chili Powder
2 teaspoons Ground Cumin
1/2 teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper
2 teaspoons Cocoa
3 cans Kidney Beans
6 ounces Tomato Paste
8 ounces Tomato Sauce
1 cup Cola, not diet

 
Preparation:

1. Add ground beef to skillet. Season with salt.

2. Brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off excess fat.

3. Add onion soup to blender. Puree until smooth.

4. Add ground beef, onion soup, chili powder, ground cumin, black pepper, cocoa, kidney beans, tomato paste, and tomato sauce to slow cooker.

5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.

Brown the ground beef until cooked through and drain off all excess fat before using.

Raise the Heat
Add additional heat by ading more chili powder, or by adding minced serrano or jalapeno pepper.
